From pam_ldap(5) on my system:
The following options may be specified as arguments to the pam_ldap
module:
[...]
debug This option is recognized by pam_ldap but is presently ignored.
# rpm -qf /usr/share/man/man5/pam_ldap.5.gz
pam_ldap-185-11.el6.x86_64
# cat /etc/redhat-release
CentOS Linux release 6.4 (Final)
