Red Hat Enterprise 6 nslcd time out issue

I just did our first RH 6 LDAP client and RH 6 requires us to use nss-pam-ldapd
, but the client always spits out these messages and allows no one to login
after a few hours:
May 11 16:15:21 nslcd[4600]: [594807] ldap_result() timed out
May 11 16:15:31 nslcd[4600]: [aa2304] ldap_result() timed out
May 11 16:15:54 nslcd[4600]: [7c2ff4] ldap_result() timed out
May 11 16:16:04 nslcd[4600]: [9328b9] ldap_result() timed out
May 11 16:16:29 nslcd[4600]: [205e20] ldap_result() timed out
Our other existing RH 5 boxes have no issues. Our server is running Openldap 2.3
Restarting nslcd fixes the issues only temporarily until few hrs go by.
Client rpm info:
openldap-2.4.19-15.el6.x86_64
openldap-clients-2.4.19-15.el6.x86_64
nss-pam-ldapd-0.7.5-3
Does anyone know of a possible fix?
