since 0.7.5; this is the current version that is being used in 
Scientific Linux 6 (and RHEL 6, CentOS 6, etc.) so I had opted to modify 
the version that was in use at the moment (complete with the many 
patches that Red Hat have applied) rather than potentially introduce 
unexpected problems by upgrading at the same time.  Of course I look 
forward to using the new 0.9.0 code at some point in the future too. :)
