The version number in RHEL is not always really meaningful. As Steve
said, there is a bunch of patches (currently 12) that are applied on top
of the 0.7.5 baseline.

Nalin rebased nss-pam-ldapd to 0.8.12 in Fedora 18 and later fwiw.
