You probably need:

  sasl_mech GSSAPI

in nslcd.conf. You probably also need to run k5start with something
like:

  k5start -b -o nslcd-user -g nslcd-user -m 600 \
        -f /etc/krb5.keytab -K 60 -u "host/$(hostname -f)" \
        -k /tmp/nslcd.tkt
